Edgar Gordon was a University of London postgraduate tutor in dental risk management and writes regular features in the dental press on dento-legal matters. He is on the editorial board of Clinical Standards in General Dental Practice. He was for eleven years on the Council of the British Dental Associationand was a founder member of the Faculty of General Dental Practice. He retired from salaried employment from a defence organisation in 1995. Mr Gordon presently advises several Health Authorities on general dental practitioner issues.

Reports on the duty of skill and attention owed by General Dental Practitioners to their patients and personal injury to the teeth and supporting structures.
